I have serious problem with probability method, and I have done some practices but there’re still any that I couldn’t understand. If you know how to do below, please help me the logic, not just the answer.
1. Sebuah lift berangkat dari lantai 1 dengan muatan 8 orang di sebuah gedung berlantai 6.
(a) Dalam berapa banyak cara penumpang” itu bisa meninggalkan lift?
(b) Pertanyaan yang sama, namun bagaimana bila penumpang” itu tidak dibedakan (hanya diperhatikan berapa orang keluar di lantai berapa)?
(c) Seandainya 8 orang itu terdiri atas 5 laki” dan 3 perempuan, dan kita hanya memperhatikan jenis kelaminnya saja, jawablah butir (a)
(An elevator started to go from first floor with 8 people in a sixth floor building.
(a) In how many way passengers could leave from elevator?
(b) The same question, but what if the passengers are not differed (only attend to how many people out in any floor)?
(c) Imagine that 8 people are 5 man and 3 woman, and we only attend the gender, answer the point (a). )
2. Dalam sebuah pelelangan dilelang 4 lukisan Dali, 5 Van Gogh, dan 6 Picasso dan ada 5 kolektor seni yang hadir. Salah seorang petugas mencatat banyaknya lukisan Dali, Van Gogh, dan Picasso yang dibeli oleh masing” kolektor tersebut. Berapa banyaknya hasil catatan yang mungkin bila semua lukisan itu habis terjual?
(In a auction, there will be offered 4 Dali’s pictures, 5 Van Gogh’s pictures, and 6 Picasso’s. There are 5 collectors. One of the official write a note on how many those pictures are bought by each collector. How many possibility note if all of the pictures sold out?)
3. Sepuluh lifter terlibat dalam suatu persaingan sengit memperebutkan juara nomor satu. Diantara kesepuluh lifter itu 3 dari Indonesia, 4 dari Thailand, 2 dari Malaysia, dan 1 dari Burma. Bila di papan skor hanya dicantumkan negara asal peserta, berapa banyak kemungkinan hasil yang mungkin terjadi? Berapa banyak di antara kemungkinan hasil itu jika satu lifter Indonesia berada di posisi tiga teratas dan 2 lainnya di posisi lima terbawah?
(10 lifters participate in tight competition to get the first position. The 10 lifters are 3 from Indonesia, 4 from Thailand, 2 from Malaysia, and 1 from Burma. If the score sheet only note origin country of competitor, how many way the result that could be happened? How many way if 1 lifter from Indonesia is in the top 3 position and the others are in the under 5 position?)
4. Sepuluh orang ketua delegasi dari 10 negara termasuk Indonesia, Jepang, Australia, dan Cina duduk dalam formasi satu baris. Berapa banyak formasi yang mungkin dibentuk bila ketua delegasi Jepang dan Australia duduk berdampingan, sedangkan ketua delegasi Indonesia dan Cina tidak mau duduk berdampingan?
(10 heads of delegation from 10 countries including Indonesian, Japan, Australian, and China sit in a row. How many seat formation if delegation from Japan and Australian sit side by side, while delegation from Indonesian and China don’t want to sit side by side?)
